Serena Morales is a Kanaka Maoli and Latinx poet from the Kingdom of Hawai’i, currently based in Canarsee/Lenape lands. Serena works at Books Are Magic, where they co-organize events and seek to champion the works of underrepresented authors. In 2020, they were awarded the inaugural Duende-Word BIPOC Bookseller Award.
