Ruth Madievsky

India Downes-Le Guin

Originally from Moldova, Ruth Madievsky is the author of a poetry collection, “Emergency Brake” (Tavern Books, 2016), winner of the Wrolstad Contemporary Poetry Series. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Tin House, The American Poetry Review, Kenyon Review, ZYZZYVA, and elsewhere. She was the winner of the American Poetry Review’s Stanley Kunitz Memorial Prize and The Iowa Review’s Tim McGinnis Prize for Fiction. She lives in Boston, where she works as an oncology pharmacist.
