Rajat Singh is a writer living in New York, where he is working on a collection of essays that locate queerness and melancholy within South Asian culture. His writing appears in StoryQuarterly, Lapham’s Quarterly, LitHub, The Offing, The Millions, and the Los Angeles Review of Books. He is a contributor for Catapult. His work has been longlisted for the Notting Hill Editions 2017 essay prize. In addition to receiving fellowships from the Tin House Summer Workshop and the Lambda Literary Writing Retreat, he was an artist resident at the Spruceton Inn this winter and attended the VQR Writers Conference this summer.
