Project Description: This summer, he’ll be working on ORDINARY DEVOTION, which tracks the evolution of the pubescent Indian state as seen through the lens of one family living in West Bengal. The novel is inspired by his grandmother, who is eighty-five and lives in Kolkata, where she often grumbles about the boredom of old age—a fate no revolutionary deserves.
