Eva Speer grew up the the Pacific Northwest. She received an MFA in painting and taught art in several west coast universities. She moved to Amsterdam in 2014 and began writing stories in 2016. She is a participant in the 2018 Breadloaf Writer’s Conference, the 2018 Tin House Winter Workshop and received a Tin House 2018 Summer Fellowship. Her work was selected as a finalist in LitMag’s 2018 Virginia Woolf Award for Short Fiction, and will be forthcoming in A Public Space Magazine. She continues to paint.
