Elliot Thomas writes poetry and young adult fiction. Originally from Memphis, TN, he received an MFA in Creative Writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts in 2016. He is currently revising his YA manuscript that explores queerness in the religious south, the power and limits of art-making, what makes lightning bugs glow in the dark, and the troubling statistic that LGBT youth are four times more likely to consider suicide than their straight peers. Ultimately, he wants to tell queer stories that are joyous and dark and fabulous and funny and fierce and moving and true. Queer stories that are unlimited. Find him on Instagram @andrewelliotthomas.
