Amy Williams is the founder of The Williams Company, a literary agency that opened its doors in April 2015. She began her publishing career as an editorial assistant at Doubleday. A literary agent since 1996, she was a founding member of The Gernert Company, an agent for two years at ICM, and a co-founder of the agency McCormick & Williams. Amy represents a wide range of critically acclaimed and best-selling authors, including Elizabeth Kostova, Nami Mun, , Katharine Weber, Frances Hwang, Dean Bakopoulos, Tom Piazza, Alix Ohlin, Owen King, Judith Warner, and John Brandon. Her interests include literary and historical fiction, narrative and practical non-fiction, memoir, and short stories.
